As we said in our first, Classic Cuban Series Blog, we are on a mission.
The mission has always been to try to help preserve the recipes that we grew up making and enjoying with our Abuelas. Our Abuelas instilled in us a sense of pride when it comes to gathering family and feeding them something from the heart.
We wanted to take this education in the kitchen and really share it with everyone. If not for our Abuelas, moms, tias and other amazing women, we never would have found our way through some of these recipes. The truth is, the kitchen can be an intimidating place. It’s not always easy learning how to do new things. This blog is a safe space for people to come to the kitchen, and feel that they can find their way to a great dish or maybe even a little bit of Cuban tradition.

Our Classic Cuban Series on our You Tube Channel, is dedicated to the core Cuban recipes that we grew up loving. These are the recipes that we feel really capture Cuban cooking and food. They also happen to be the most searched recipes on our blog, and we get it. Each video is going to walk you through the recipe and give you the confidence to take it on in your kitchen!

This recipe really is at the center of our childhood. If you grew up in Miami, we need to ask- did your Abuela have a tupperware filled with marinated steaks? Because we were blessed enough to have grandmothers who would keep a tupperware of marinated steaks in a drawer in the fridge. They were ready to fry up and feed a grandchild or one of their kids at a moment’s notice.
We know that times have a changed, and that a steak tupperware is not always going to be readily available. However, we hope after watching this video you see how easy it actually can be to fry up a steak and feed your family. The video is full of little tips and tricks that keep things simple for you.
