The Christmas Morning Menu of Your Dreams

This is the Christmas Morning menu of your dreams. We think that part of the Christmas magic is also what is on the table to eat after the gifts are open. The trick is to plan a menu that brings the magic without the stress or time. After all, who has any time in December?

What do we mean by Christmas Morning Menu

Christmas morning is usually centered on the gifts. So don’t get us wrong, we know that the magic and excitement is not about the food (for some people). However, we feel that once the gifts are open, it would be so great to have a magical meal to share and make more memories with.

After all, when we look back at our childhood, there really isn’t a Christmas “gift” we received that ever stood out. When we look back on our Christmas memories, the things that stick out the most to us are the times we gathered with our family and had a meal. The times when we had danced with our Abuelos to the blasting music or snuck the dessert with our cousins.

Don’t freak out! We have a plan to keep this simple – which when you think about it, is pretty magical.

Our Perfect Christmas Morning Menu Options

When we say perfect Christmas Morning Menu we mean a collection of recipes that are delicious but can be made ahead and do not require too much thought. Do not freak out we are not going to trick you! We are here to help! Think of us as little Christmas kitchen elves if you will.

We are laying out a few options below to help you pick and choose what works for your family. We would say pick one or two stars and add one or two of the sides or baked goods to round it out. Then we would highly advise having bacon on hand, setting your oven to 375 and letting it bake for 20 minutes (flip in between)- truly doesn’t get better or easier. Also if you have some orange juice we don’t think this ever hurts.

Make Ahead Buttermilk Pancakes

This recipe is so good, because it is so easy to do!! We have so many memories making these exact pancakes with our own kids. They love to help which is always a bonus and adds to the memories. You can mix it the morning of and end up with a delicious breakfast everyone will love. However, it can be done the night before, and actually making them the night ahead makes them even fluffier than you could hope for. Mixing everything the night before makes a big difference. Allowing the batter to sit makes them extra fluffy the next day. Moreover, it saves you so much time.

We love this Venezuelan classic. It has so much warmth and comfort rolled into it. It’s a great breakafast item because it’s easy to serve and is packed with protein. Serve it along with fruit and you already have a pretty delicious plate.
