This Avocado Crema Recipe is a simple guide to making a delicious creamy sauce that can go with almost anything. It’s luscious and rich and made from our favorite fruit, the avocado.
Avocado Crema is a quick and easy Mexican Recipe. It’s made from ripe avocados transformed into a lush sauce with the help of citrusy lime and fresh herbs. You can say it is a play on traditional Mexican Crema, which is a flavorful and zesty replacement for sour cream.
Instead of using buttermilk and heavy cream, we are using an avocado. The avocado makes this recipe naturally creamy and tastes much more light and fresh. To finish, the crema is lightly seasoned and balanced using fresh cilantro and lime juice to help it come alive.
Avocado Crema is so good and delicious you are going to want to serve it with everything. It is perfect for drizzling on tacos or enchiladas before serving. It can also work as a dip for veggies and shrimp. If you really want to go crazy, you can thin it out with more lime juice and turn it into a salad dressing.
