Baked Brie

This easy to do Baked Brie is going to be the star at your next party. An easy recipe that will give you a delicious brie everyone will love.

Honestly, is it even a party without a baked brie? The signature appetizer is a signature for a reason, it is easy to make yet looks elegant and sophisticated.

Why Make This Easy Baked Brie

We love this recipe because the baked brie recipe allows the cheese to shine. While many recipes slather the brie in jam and wrap it in phyllo dough or puff pastry, (See our Guava Cranberry Baked Brie) this is simply topped with salty marcona almonds and honey. The addition of pomegranate seeds and thyme add a flavorful and festive touch.

How to Make This Baked Brie Recipe

To start, we score the top of the brie so all those flavors meld into the cheese. The combination of the melted cheese and the texture combination of the velvety cheese with crunchy nuts and pomegranate seeds is heavenly.

It is important to line the pan with parchment paper. This ensures the brie won’t stick to the pan. It also allows you to serve it where you cooked it or you can move the brie easily by simply lifting the parchment paper. It’s also very easy clean up.

You want to bake the brie the brie when you are ready to serve it. Ideally it is baked just enough to melt the inside but maintains its shape. Once you pull it out of the oven give it 5-10 minutes to cool. If the brie oozes while it’s baking that’s ok too. It will be equally delicious.

This Baked Brie is Gluten Free, since there is no pastry wrapped around the cheese.

Serving Our Baked Brie

We always serve brie with fresh bread and crackers but we love to serve it with fruit as well. Slices of apples and pears are a perfect vehicle to enjoy the creamy cheese. Since it’s important to serve brie the moment it is out of the oven, it’s equally important to serve it along other appetizers you can make ahead.
